JROTC
MISSION STATEMENT
Motivate young people to become better citizens.
WHAT IS JROTC?
There is no military service obligation
incurred by being a part of JROTC. Uniforms are provided at no
cost to the students.
JROTC is a student lead program that teaches
citizenship, leadership and useful life skill subjects like first
aid, map reading, organization and planning skills. JROTC prepares
college bound and workforce students with self-discipline and an
enhanced resume that cites solid leadership positions to aid in
obtaining scholarships/jobs. Students who think they want to go into
the military after high school get an introduction to rank structure
and drill. Cadets who complete two years of JROTC can enter the
military with an initial promotion and those who complete three
years can earn two promotions. JROTC also is helpful in obtaining
College ROTC scholarships and Academy Appointments
