Florence High School National Honor Society

The National Honor Society inducted fifteen seniors and twney-seven juniors this year.  Forty-eight members of the class of 2010 are now members of the National Honor Society.

Members must complete their Individual Service Projects and submit their signed verification documents by Friday, March 12.  This requires students to look for needs in the community and organize projects through which they will give at least five hours of their time and energy.  The project must be solely for NHS--not a project they would be doing with another organization.  Students will be involved in a variety of activities including volunteering at the Animal Shelter, holding a dance camp for young dancers, raising money for the people of Haiti, and working for local food pantries.

Group service projects will begin in the spring.

National Honor Society applications are available in room 2.  Any junior or senior who has a 90 cumulative average is encouraged to apply for membership.  Applicants must pick up a copy of the NHS bylaws with the application.  Completed applications must be turned in to Mrs. Musgrove by Thursday, October 15, at 3:30 p.m.  They will not be accepted late.
