We've recently held a Citizenship Day program where Dr. Larry Nelson from UNA spoke about the importance of our U.S. Constitution and U.S. Citizenship.  It was a school wide assembly in the month of September.  The student and faculty thoroughly enjoyed this program.

We've also recently held a Veterans Day Program on November 13th where three veterans of the Iraq War spoke in the library each period to the Social Science classes.  The speakers were Captain Jason Malone of the U.S. Army, Captain Jonathan Stewart of the U.S. Army Reserve, and SFC Wesley Richardson of the U.S. Army National Guard.  SFC Richardson also brought his son, Specialist Tyler Richardson of the U.S. Army Military Police.  The students thoroughly enjoyed the program and had many questions.

The History Club is also participating in the Salvation Army Stocking Stuffing philanthropy for needy children this holiday season.

The History Club is also planning on holding a program in February for Black History program.
